POPE DECLARES FR MCGIVNEY VENERABLE

Pope Benedict XVI approved a decree recognizing the heroic virtue of Father Michael J McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. The pope's declaration significantly advances the priest's process toward sainthood and gives the parish priest the distinction of "Venerable Servant of God". KNIGHTS PICNIC

For those of you, your spouses, and your kids who joined us on June 26th at our Annual Picnic, we had a great time!  The cuisine was the best ever, with new items such as gumbo, bourbon chicken, BBQ ribs, corn pudding, BBQ beans and great desserts!  Those Knights that couldn’t make it, boy, you sure missed a good one!  Best attendance EVER.

ST PATRICK'S DAY DINNER

has been cancelled this year due to a number of unforeseen circumstances. The Knights will be refunding the money to all those who purchased the tickets. Thanks to all the Brother Knights who helped and also volunteered to help during the event.

Recent Events:

 Golf Tournament: The 2007 Golf tournament was a rousing success.  On Friday, Dec 7th 2007 at the 9 am Children's Mass, we presented to Mrs Kathy Mock, Principal of St Michael's School, a ceremonial check for $44000, the largest we have ever given as the net proceeds from last year's Joseph & Rita Lucia 12th Annual Swing for the Kids Classic. Thanks to all the Knights for making this a grand success.
