POPE DECLARES FR MCGIVNEY VENERABLE

Pope Benedict XVI approved a decree recognizing the heroic virtue of Father Michael J McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. The pope's declaration significantly advances the priest's process toward sainthood and gives the parish priest the distinction of "Venerable Servant of God". KNIGHTS PICNIC

For those of you, your spouses, and your kids who joined us at our Annual Picnic, we had a great time!  The cuisine was the best ever, with new items such as gumbo, bourbon chicken, BBQ ribs, corn pudding, BBQ beans and great desserts!  Those Knights that couldn’t make it, boy, you sure missed a good one!  Best attendance EVER.

GENERAL ELECTION 2008

From the Supreme Council Website: "As a resident of California, you will be able to vote on a proposed constitutional amendment protecting marriage referendum one week from today. The New Jersey Knights of Columbus, supported by the Supreme Council, has produced a 12 minute video on same-sex marriage in conjunction with the New Jersey Catholic Conference. It is not state-specific, and can be used anywhere to help educate Catholic voters on the issue. We have posted the video on the Supreme Council website."

Recent Events:

 Golf Tournament: Mark your calendars for this years' Swing for the Kids golf classic benefiting St. Michaels Catholic School on Friday, September 25, 2009. We will have a great day of golf, cocktails, auctions and dinner at the Doubletree Golf Resort. Sponsorship opportunities are still available!Donations for the silent and live auctions are also being accepted. Raffle ticket sales begin on July 11! School, a ceremonial check for $44000, the largest we have ever given as the net proceeds from last year's Joseph & Rita Lucia 12th Annual Swing for the Kids Classic. Thanks to all the Knights for making this a grand success.
